Hi, my name is Talina Perkins, owner of BookinitReviews.com and author and creator of this book on easy meal ideas.

Here is a startling fact about cooking: It does not have to be difficult!
My mother was a great cook and always encouraged me to help out in the kitchen but there were times when she used to shoo me out of the kitchen when she was busy preparing yet one more meal after already a long days work. Looking back I now know just how tired she had to be after cooking for so many hours each day. She was definitely of the mind set that everything had to be from scratch.
When I first got married I thought I had to do the same but it became evident quite fast that balancing a job, a home and kids didn't afford me to many hours in the day to spend in the kitchen. Thus started the idea of needing easy recipes.
As the years passed and my mother finally handed over her recipe box, you can imagine my delight!
I can remember how she used to get up early, at 5am. to prepare her utensils and fire up the stove to began the big meal of the day (breakfast!). By the time dad and my brothers came stomping up on the porch, the table was laden with biscuits, ham, gravy, potatoes, and all kinds of steamed vegetables from her garden.
In my house that only happens on Sunday or the holidays! All other days each and every recipe I've included in this cookbook is what garnishes my table. As a busy author, mom, and a Jill of all trades, time and simplicity really is what matters.
I've also included recipes in this cookbook from my mothers recipe box. Deeelicious! And other from my own creations and tweaks as I've perfected them for my family...Doubly Deeelicious!!
